Human Wizard Born to a noble family, I was raised under the assumption that the greatest wealth you can gift someone with is the finest education money could buy. From a young age I was separated from my household and sent to a private boarding school, Spinemouth, to learn to read and write, math, alchemy and the finer points of bureaucracy and diplomacy. During my tenure at the Spinemouth, my family suffered a horrible curse and died due to an enchanted withering and rapid aging that afflicted their lands. The property was seized by the state upon their death as there was no living will, but in a gesture of "good will" all of my family's smaller possessions were sold to ensure my continued education. In my thirteenth season my continued interest with chrono-effects and penchant for magic theory landed me a position in a prestigious wizard's academy. Over the years my abilities advanced very quickly, but my continued deep interest in the effects of time led me to study the realms and effects of negative energy, which earned me contempt and the distrust of the academy Masters. By the age of seventeen I had already began work on the reanimation of dead organisms. As time continued, though I had excelled in every school of magic and was considered a gifted up and coming prodigy, my continued research into cheating death eventually earned me expulsion to save the academy's reputation. I am now hunting down lost knowledge and trying to continue my studies into magic. My quest for true eternal life, out side the bounds of time, drives me. I am the slow turn of the world, and I shall have my dawn. |
| Gnome Monk Glibneebo Shorpnop was raised by the Gnomish clan Nackrenzorpnenkelo. The clan was full of talented inventors and venerated martial artists, and had an ancient blood feud with the giants. His father Glorpofneegrepnopfoopdeep in particular was an honored and respected member of the clan, almost 400 years old but nimble and spry in body and mind like a gnome a quarter his age. Glibneebo loved his father Glorpof dearly, and learned much from him about how to be a gnome, both serious and jovial. When, a few years after reaching maturity, Glibneebo came home from a solitary hunt to find his clan's burrows pillaged and destroyed, he was devastated. When he found his father's bloody severed head skewered carelessly on a pole, surrounded by giant footprints in front of the still-smoking entrance to his beloved home, he swore a terrible oath of vengeance against the giants who had destroyed his homeland and only family. Shouldering his satchel and fingering his father's kama slung to his back, he set off into the wilderness. When he returned to wreak havoc among the giants, he planned to be formidable indeed. |

Cleric Astrophel was born 80 years ago with an Elfin mother and a human father, who left soon after Astrophel was born. Astrophel was raised in his mother's village as an elf. He learned their lore, their art, and their religion, but soon he was fully grown while his peers still looked and acted young. He became impatient with Elfin ways and decided to leave the town to learn about the rest of the world and find his place. He left on good terms and still returns to the village to see his mother and old friends. The rest of the time he spends going from town to town and meeting different people with different languages, religions, and stories. Being so old and traveling so much he learned a few quirks on how to get by. To keep from getting hassled by strangers and to hide his weapons and armor he dresses like a nun. This wandering lifestyle has served him well. Astrophel is happiest living by his own rules and creating more goodness in the world, even if it means kicking some ass. |
